FP Assistance
"Feeding The Future" - since 1995
|
FP Assistance is a non-profit company that helps provide financial assistance to daycare centers through the Texas Department of Human Services Special Nutrition Programs. Daycare centers whose enrollment exceeds 25% low-income children are eligible to participate in the FOOD PROGRAM. MANY TIMES children in today's hectic society only get what they are fed during daycare hours. We monitor over 16.5 MILLION meals each year, and distribute over $7.4 MILLION in financial assistance to daycare centers accross the state of Texas!

The "Health and Human Services Department" of the state of Texas has contracted with us to help administer financial assistance to eligible centers who meet certain nutritional guidlines when feeding their children. We provide the training and consultation needed on the part of each daycare center enrolled in the food program in order for them to receive financial assistance.

We have been in business since 1995, when Leah Penna started with just a few centers! We now have over 350 centers, and help over 23,000 children each day in the state of Texas to receive the nutrition they need! Thank You for visiting our site!

In 2008 we initiated a program to help daycare centers with the appliance needs they have in their kitchens. We are linking our business contacts in the community to the daycare centers that need hardware items for their kitchens and food programs. The daycare centers are linked with donors in the community who have the ability to provide for their needs by donating items. We are excited about this addition to our services as a non-profit company providing for the food program needs of daycares in Texas communities!

This year, FP is beginning a program for daycare centers called "Daycare Daze". This is a field trip program for the centers on our contract. It is a time where daycare centers come to FP Assistance's home office and have a carnival day for the kids. The teachers and cooks get to have the day off from lunch as our staff cooks a food program meal followed my a time of recreation for the kids and relaxation for the staff. It is also a great time for nutritional training related to food program guidelines, and a time for daycare staff to meet FPA staff. If you are interested...your center director can call our office for details!
